Annual Subway Show Opens at West 4th Street

NEW YORK, NY (Oct. 9, 2014) — The work of Pelli Clarke Pelli Architects is part of an exhibition presented by AIA New York / Center for Architecture, currently on view at the West 4th Street subway station. The annual show presents projects by AIA New York Chapter members around the world. This year’s show, titled New York New Design, features photographs from PCPA’s award-winning portfolio, including Transbay Transit Center in San Francisco and 1214 Fifth Avenue in New York.

The displays, located in the two southern corridors of the West 4th Street station, offer a cross section of AIA New York Chapter’s diverse membership. Built and unbuilt work is included, creating a varied and vibrant diversion for subway riders passing through.

The exhibition is presented as part of Archtober, a month-long festival celebrating architecture and design, organized by New York’s Center for Architecture. Archtober features tours, lectures, films and exhibitions to achieve its mission of raising awareness of the important role of design in New York City.

The exhibition is on view through November 2.
