Shanghai IFC receives two nominations for 2010 MIPIM Asia Awards

NEW HAVEN, Conn. – A Pelli Clarke Pelli Architects’ project has received two nominations for an international real estate award. Shanghai IFC was nominated in two categories for the 2010 MIPIM Asia Awards, which honor real estate projects in the Asia Pacific region.

Shanghai IFC is a mixed-use development in the Pudong district consisting of three towers and a four-level podium. The HSBC Building, the south tower in the complex, was nominated in the Business Centres Category. Shanghai IFC Mall, which occupies the podium, was named in the Shopping Centres Category.

An international jury selected 24 nominees from 79 projects, naming three projects each in eight categories. Registered MIPIM Asia delegates will vote for the winners, and awards will be presented at MIPIM Asia on Nov.10 in Hong Kong. MIPIM Asia is a conference and exhibition event focused on real estate in the Asia Pacific region. The event is designed to encourage Western investment in the region.

Shanghai IFC is developed by Sun Hung Kai Properties and will include HSBC and a Ritz Carlton Hotel in the south tower, additional offices in the north tower, and service apartments in the third tower. The podium will house approximately 592,000 square feet of retail, restaurants and function space.
