Associate Principal receives Penn State University College of Arts and Architecture Alumni Award

New Haven, Conn. (April 21, 2015) – Gina Narracci, AIA, Associate Principal at Pelli Clarke Pelli Architects, has been honored with an Alumni Award. She graduated with a B.Arch in 1995 and joined PCPA in 1997. In a daylong event at Penn State, Gina was part of a meet-and-greet where she shared her own professional path and offered advice to undergraduates.

Upon accepting her award, Gina remarked, “I am honored and humbled to be a part of this talented group of awardees. Being here reminds me of all the time I spent studying at Penn State and how much I learned. I still have much to accomplish and this award and its recognition will propel me further.”

Gina has led design teams for several of the firm’s major projects, including many of the firm’s performing arts centers. Currently she is design team leader for the McCormick Place Events Center in Chicago and for the George S. and Dolores Doré Eccles Theater in Salt Lake City, Utah, now under construction. As project architect, she worked on Hancher Auditorium, a 1,800-seat proscenium theater at University of Iowa, also under construction and the award-winning Theatre School, a performance and teaching facility for DePaul University that includes a flexible theater, a studio theater, classrooms and offices, completed in 2013. Other projects include the Performing Arts Center at Western Illinois University; BOK Center, an 18,000-seat arena in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and the Schuster Performing Arts Center in Dayton, Ohio.

In addition to practicing architecture, Gina has been a teaching fellow at the Yale School of Architecture and guest critic at Temple University and her alma mater Penn State.
