Cesar Pelli featured in lecture series on Latin American architects

NEW HAVEN, Conn. (Oct. 3, 2014) — Cesar Pelli presented highlights from his distinguished career in a recent lecture in Washington, D.C., as part of a series showcasing the achievements of Latin American architects.

For his installment of the Maestros de Arquitectura series at the District Architecture Center, Pelli discussed his projects from over the years and how regional design has influenced his work. Pelli, who emigrated from Argentina, also talked about the challenges of Latin American architects practicing in the United States.

Maestros de Arquitectura is a lecture series created to recognize renowned Latin American architects for their professional accomplishments and personal journey as Latinos succeeding in the U.S. and around the world. In addition to serving as the headquarters of the Washington Chapter of the American Institute of Architects and the Washington Architectural Foundation, the District Architecture Center is host to exhibits and events about architecture and architects.
