Cesar Pelli honored at AIA New York’s Heritage Ball

NEW HAVEN, Conn. (Oct. 25, 2012) —Cesar Pelli was among the honorees at this year’s Heritage Ball, AIA New York’s annual gala.

The annual black tie event brings together architects, designers and industry professionals to celebrate the tradition of design excellence in New York. This year’s event, which took place Thursday at Chelsea Piers, recognizes a highly distinguished group of individuals who have demonstrated their commitment to design in the city and beyond. In addition to Mr. Pelli, the honorees are Robert E. Selsam, senior vice president of Boston Properties; Iris Weinshall, vice chancellor of Facilities Planning, Construction and Management for the City University of New York; and Joshua David and Robert Hammond, co-founders of Friends of the High Line. 

The Heritage Ball is a benefit for AIA New York Chapter, Center for Architecture, and Center for Architecture Foundation. The event honors the architectural heritage of New York City and celebrates the architects, officials, organizations, and professionals from related industries who continue the tradition.
