Lanphier Center for Mathematics and Computer Science Wins AIA Award

New Haven, Connecticut (October 12, 2017), Pelli Clarke Pelli Architects’ Lanphier Center for Mathematics and Computer Science at Choate Rosemary Hall has been given an Honor Award from AIA Connecticut 2017 Design Awards. Taking cues from the natural and historical charm of the campus, the building design supports a new curriculum that goes beyond the traditional STEM subjects—science, technology, engineering, and mathematics—to incorporate the arts.

The AIA Connecticut 2017 Design Awards celebrates the accomplishments and excellence of Connecticut architects and their projects. Jurors considered concept, program and client requirements, and their relationship to the architectural solution when awarding projects.

Pelli Clarke Pelli Architects will receive its Honor Award during the AIA Connecticut Awards Reception the evening of December 4, 2017 at TheaterWorks in Hartford, Connecticut.
