Pelli Clarke Pelli Architects selected to design new tower in San Francisco’s Transbay district

New Haven, CT (June 28, 2016) – PCPA returns to San Francisco to design our second high-rise tower, known as Parcel F.  The site was recently purchased by a partnership of developers, Urban Pacific Development LLC and Hines, along with Goldman Sachs Group Inc. (NYSE: GS)'s Broad Street Principal Investments LLC.  The project will be a mixed-use building, located on Howard Street, just southwest of PCPA’s Transbay Transit Center and Salesforce, our projects currently under construction. Salesforce will be the tallest tower in the city and Transbay, spanning five blocks, will be the largest intermodal transit center in the country.

Leading the Pelli Clarke Pelli team will be Senior Principal Fred Clarke, FAIA and Principal Mark Shoemaker, AIA. As senior designers for Transbay, they bring enormous knowledge and experience working in San Francisco. Joining them are Senior Associate Principals Susana Drago, AIA, LEED AP, Ed Dionne, AIA, and Associate Principal Axel Zemborain, AIA. HKS will serve as Architect of Record.

We are very pleased to be collaborating again with Hines. This is our 20th project together.
