Sir Roger Penrose to deliver lecture at Whitney Humanities Center

New Haven, Conn. (June 1, 2015) — Sir Roger Penrose, the renown British mathematical physicist and philosopher who discovered the periodic pattern called the Penrose Rhombus Tiling, will present “Before the Beginning and Beyond Eternity” at the Yale Whitney Humanities Center, located at 53 Wall Street, New Haven, CT. The event will take place Monday, June 8 at 2:00 pm and is organized by Site Projects and the Franke Program in Science and the Humanities at Yale University. Immediately following, at 3:45 pm, is a book signing at Mory’s, 306 York Street. Sir Penrose’s books will be available to purchase.

PCPA is pleased to sponsor the event. Fred Clarke is currently collaborating with Sir Penrose to incorporate his groundbreaking pattern into the elegant design of the undulating exterior walls of the future Transbay Transit Center in San Francisco.
