Arboleda Master Plan
+ expand detailSan Pedro Garza Garcia, Monterrey, Mexico
26 acres / 11 hectares
2011
Arboleda will be a premier mixed-use development in San Pedro Garza Garcia, one of Latin America’s most prosperous suburbs and an important corporate center. The master plan, a collaboration of Pelli Clarke Pelli Architects and Office of James Burnett, will create a new urban village on a 26-acre site next to the Campestre Golf Club with views of the Sierra Madre Mountains.
The development will include a vibrant commercial zone and a secure, private residential area, both organized around a central park. Known as The Leaf, the park takes its name and elliptical plan from the leaf of the live oak tree, a variety found on the property.
Arboleda will offer a variety of living options. Residents will live in three towers and 35 smaller scale urban villas in the residential area and two midrise apartment buildings in the commercial district. This lively, walkable district for business and entertainment will also include office towers, shops, restaurants, a hotel, and a cultural center. The cultural center will link the commercial and residential zones and will be an amenity for all of San Pedro Garza Garcia.
Arboleda will be compliant with LEED for Neighborhood Development, a system of design that integrates the principles of smart growth, urbanism and green building. In addition, the buildings will be LEED certified.
