One Park West is a residential component of Liverpool One, a mixed-use development on 17 hectares (42 acres) of the Liverpool city center. Pelli Clarke Pelli Architects, in collaboration with BDP, was the master planner and urban designer for this development, which includes retail, entertainment and offices.
One Park West anchors the northwest corner of Chavasse Park, a 5-acre terraced public space at the center of Liverpool One. Clad in a glass and metal curtain wall, the building curves toward the water, reinforcing the grand ellipse of the park as it steps down to the east. Apartments offer views of the park, two cathedrals, and the Liverpool waterfront.
The 17-story building has 326 residential apartments, with shops and offices on the ground, first, and second floors. Building amenities for residents include a gymnasium and a roof terrace, which offers seating and provides views towards the waterfront.
