Pelli Clarke Pelli Architect Associate Hongxi Yang presented at the CAAPS (Chinese American Academic and Professional Society) Annual Convention. Her presentation, called “Three Dimensional City—The Making of Multilevel Public Space,” covered ways to enhance the public experience with prominent international Pelli Clarke Pelli Architects projects, such as Piazza Gae Aulenti, Chengdu Natural History Museum, Shantou Master Plan, and Chengdu China Overseas. In recognition of her support and contributions, Ms. Yang received the Certificate of Appreciation by the CAAPS board of directors.
CAAPS was established in 1975, bringing together Chinese
Americans in academia and diverse professionals to offer training and
networking programs. This year’s convention allowed speakers to share their
views on the advancement of science, technology, culture and humanity, and the
impact they will have on our lives.
