Gregg Jones joined the firm in 1979. He has been Principal-in-Charge for numerous headquarters, high-rise offices, residential buildings, hotels, and large-scale, mixed-use developments.
Mr. Jones is currently Principal-in-Charge for the multi-building, world-corporate headquarters and training campus for American Airlines in Fort Worth, Texas, Residences by Armani/Casa, the tallest luxury condominium tower at Sunny Isles Beach in Miami Beach, Florida, and Porta Nuova Gioia 22, a landmark office tower with a retail podium and new urban public piazza.
He was Design Principal-in-Charge for the recently completed McKinney & Olive, a mixed-use tower in Dallas, Texas, and Porta Nuova Garibaldi’s master plan for a major mixed-use development north of Milan’s city center and design of three primary office towers that make up UniCredit Bank’s world headquarters, a retail podium, and a new piazza. The development’s signature office tower is the tallest in Italy. Mr. Jones also led the design teams for three projects in San Pedro, Mexico: Sofia, an office and luxury residential tower, Arboleda, a 11-hectare (26-acre) mixed-use urban village master plan and design of residential and office towers, two linear retail podiums and pedestrian arcade, and a central park open space, and La Nube, a luxury resident tower and podium villas.
Mr. Jones is Principal-in-Charge for the ITC Towers at XJH Centre in Shanghai. He has led the design teams for the International Finance Centre, the tallest tower in Hong Kong; the NHK Osaka Broadcast Center; Osaka Museum of History; Atago Green Hills, which includes the Forest residential tower and the Mori office tower in Tokyo; and the NTT Corporate Headquarters and showroom, also in Tokyo.
Past projects include ARIA Hotel & Casino, which includes a 4,000-room hotel, a convention center, theater, casino, and restaurants located in Las Vegas. ARIA is the centerpiece of CityCenter, the largest private-sector development in the United States. He has also led the design team for 516 Fifth Avenue, a hotel and residential tower in New York and for office towers including 30 Hudson Street in Jersey City, 1500 Louisiana in Houston, 181 West Madison in Chicago, and 777 Tower in Los Angeles.
Mr. Jones was an invited member of the Advisory Council to the Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat and the American Society of Civil Engineers Committee on Tall Buildings. He has taught design studios, lectured, and been a guest design juror at Temple University. He is also a lecturer and guest design juror at both Yale University and Harvard University. He has recently lectured at the Dallas Museum of Art Architecture Forum as well as at the Facades Plus Symposium. He received an Associate Degree in Structural/Civil Engineering, Magna Cum Laude, and a Bachelor of Science in Architecture, Cum Laude, both from Temple University, and a Master of Architecture from Yale University.
