Kristin Hopkins-Clegg has been with Pelli Clarke Pelli Architects since 2006. She has been involved with several significant projects for the firm’s New York office, including mixed-use developments, office, residential, and national and international master plans.
Mrs. Hopkins-Clegg’s most recent work includes the LEED Platinum-certified São Paulo Corporate Towers, two 28-story office towers on 9.5 acres in the Villa Olympia neighborhood of São Paulo. The project also includes dining, a conference center, rooftop garden with an incorporated amenity building, 1.7 million-square-feet of parking, and an urban park extensively landscaped with 187 existing, fully mature species trees of the Mata Atlantic forest.
Currently, Mrs. Hopkins-Clegg is Design Team Leader for a two-phased mixed-use project along Hudson Boulevard in New York City, which includes a 420,000-square-feet luxury residential tower and a 44-story office building with 1.3 million-square-feet of office space.
Mrs. Hopkins-Clegg’s additional work includes the LEED Gold-certified The Avenue in Washington D.C., a 2.7-acre mixed-use development with a 440,000-square-foot office building, a 330,000-square-foot residential building, ground floor retail, and a public courtyard between the two buildings. Mrs. Hopkins-Clegg’s master planning experience includes the Godrej Master Plan in Mumbai, India, a 36-acre mixed-use development with office, residential, and retail components.
Prior to Pelli Clarke Pelli Architects, Mrs. Hopkins worked for four years as an architectural designer in Princeton, New Jersey and Boston, Massachusetts on a diverse array of projects. Her experience includes single and multi-family residences, interior design, institutional, historical preservation, and adaptive reuse projects. She received a Master of Architecture from Harvard University in 2006 and a Bachelor of Architecture from Roger Williams University in 2001.
