Tobias Hahne joined the firm in 2005. He has been a senior designer on a number of large scale commercial and mixed-use projects.
Currently, Mr. Hahne is leading the design team for the office tower of the Back Bay South End Gateway Project, which is part of a mixed-use redevelopment air rights master plan in Boston, Massachusetts. He has been leading the master plan design effort during the feasibility and permitting phase since 2015.
Mr. Hahne’s additional experience includes his role as Senior Designer for the Godrej One Headquarters in Mumbai, India, and as Design Team Leader for the curtain wall re-clad of an existing office building in Manhattan at 475 Park Avenue South.
During his first years at Pelli Clarke Pelli Architects, he was primarily involved as Senior Designer with the Brookfield Place Reconfiguration project in lower Manhattan, including the design of the New Entry Pavilion, as well as the design of The Visionaire, a residential high-rise in Battery Park City.
Prior to joining the firm, Tobias Hahne worked for the Munich-based architectural firm Allmann Sattler Wappner Architekten. His design team won several competitions, such as a 10 million-square-foot commercial center, which included a hotel building that Mr. Hahne designed.
Mr. Hahne received a Bachelor of Architecture from the Technische Universität Berlin, Germany, and spent one year at the Universitá degli Study di Firenze, Italy, before he received a Master of Architecture from the Technische Universität München, Germany. Mr. Hahne is a LEED Accredited Professional, and a Certified Passive House Designer.
