This mixed-used development in a Mumbai suburb totals 2.8 million square feet (260,100 square meters) and is one of the region’s largest real estate projects. Pelli Clarke Pelli Architects collaborated with Balmori Associates on the master plan and also designed the development’s signature building.
The master plan promotes a vibrant, attractive, and pedestrian-friendly place in which to live, work, and play. The development includes premium office space, residential towers, high-street retail and a five-star hotel, all centered around a four-acre (1.6-hectare) landscaped park. Located in the heart of the city, the development is connected to major transit points, including the Eastern Express Highway, as well as important business centers.
The development was built in phases. The first phase included 1,260,000 square feet (117,000 square meters) of commercial office space, 345,000 square feet (32,050 square meters) of hotel and convention space and 945,000 square feet (87,800 square meters) of street-level retail and residential space. The first building was Godrej One. Designed by Pelli Clarke Pelli Architects, this 700,000-square-foot (65,000-square-meter) multi-tenant office tower includes the headquarters of the Godrej Group.
