George S. and Dolores Doré Eccles Theater Wins AIA Award
Pelli Clarke Pelli Architects’ George S. and Dolores Doré Eccles Theater has been given an Honor Award from AIA Connecticut 2017 Design Awards. Planned as a premier entertainment venue in the Salt Lake City region, this theater is not only a contemporary landmark but also a transformative piece of the city. The 2,500-seat, state-of-the-art theater anchors a vibrant arts district and attracts first-run touring Broadway shows and concerts.
The AIA Connecticut 2017 Design Awards celebrates the accomplishments and excellence of Connecticut architects and their projects. Jurors considered concept, program and client requirements, and their relationship to the architectural solution when awarding projects.
Pelli Clarke Pelli Architects’ Design Principal Mitch Hirsch will receive the Honor Award during the AIA Connecticut Awards Reception the evening of December 4, 2017 at Theater Works in Hartford, Connecticut.
