Mori JP Tower nominated for exclusive International High Rise Award by DAM
The Mori JP Tower has been honored with a nomination for the esteemed International High Rise Award by the Deutsches Architektur Museum (DAM). This nomination underscores the tower's exceptional design, innovation, and contribution to urban development.
The International High Rise Award, organized by the Deutsches Architektur Museum in collaboration with the City of Frankfurt and DekaBank, recognizes buildings that set new standards for design, functionality, and sustainability in high-rise construction. This biennial award celebrates structures that significantly enhance the living conditions of their occupants and contribute positively to their urban surroundings. For the 2024-2025 cycle, only 31 projects were nominated.
Standing 330 meters tall in the heart of Tokyo, the Mori JP Tower creates a new landmark on the city skyline. The tower's innovative design integrates cutting-edge technology that can withstand a 9.1-magnitude earthquake, and blends technical finesse with a restrained, yet elegant design approach. Clad in a distinctive pearl-gray glass facade, the tower was designed to evoke the shape and symmetry of a lotus flower, with a crown of four curved glass petals. Its state-of-the-art facilities, including office spaces, residential units, and public areas, provide a dynamic environment that fosters productivity, community, and well-being.
The Deutsches Architektur Museum's International High Rise Award will be presented in Frankfurt, Germany, later this year. The Mori JP Tower's nomination places it among an elite group of high-rise buildings worldwide, highlighting its exceptional architectural quality and significant impact on urban development.
