Principal Mitch Hirsch Led AIANY Discussion on Performance Spaces
Principal Mitch Hirsch led a panel discussion on the importance and challenges of designing performance-based spaces for the AIANY Cultural Facilities Committee at the Center for Architecture in New York City. He was joined by Joseph W.A. Myers, President and Principal Consultant at Kirkegaard Associates and Scott Crossfield, Design Principal at Theatre Projects. The three experts discussed the design, technical, and programmatic aspects of performance spaces and how they are used to express and function for the arts.
The panel was moderated by Ted Whitten, architect and author of Pelli Clarke Pelli Architects’ new publication, Perform: Designing for the Performing Arts. A book signing occurred directly after the event.
