Buerger Center for Advanced Pediatric Care Wins ENR's Best of the Best Healthcare Project Award
Pelli Clarke Pelli Architects’ Buerger Center for Advanced Pediatric Care has won Engineering News Record’s Best of the Best Health Care Project. The Buerger Center for Advanced Pediatric Care is the first healthcare building of the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia’s new South Campus. Pelli Clarke Pelli designed a healthcare facility for children that created an inviting, safe environment for young patients. The hospital’s design echoes a child’s playful nature, found in the winding halls and walkways and in the varying shapes and colors on the exterior.
ENR’s Best of the Best Projects called for submissions with exceptional design and construction in the United States completed between May 2015 and June 2016. A team of judges and the editorial staff at ENR chose regional winners in each of the twenty categories.
