The Medical and Research Translation Building Wins AIA Award

The Medical and Research Translation Building and New Bed Tower at Stony Brook University has received an AIA Northern Virginia Design Award for institutional projects. Developed for translational healthcare, the new facility expands healthcare services and research in the Long Island region.

The AIA Northern Virginia Design Awards are hosted each year to recognize design excellence regardless of project scope, budget, and size. The 2020 award comprised a jury of distinguished architects whom focused heavily on three design components for awarded projects: Equitable Communities, Economy, and Energy.
