Pelli Clarke & Partners Celebrates Four CTBUH Award Wins
Pelli Clarke & Partners is pleased to announce that three projects have been honored at the Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat (CTBUH) Annual Awards. These accolades celebrate exceptional contributions to the advancement of tall buildings and the urban environment, recognizing our commitment to innovative and sustainable design.
2100 Pennsylvania in Washington, D.C. has been awarded The Space Within Award, highlighting its expansive interior lobby space that embraces urban site constraints and informs an 11-story atrium space that promotes well-being through its natural materials. This project exemplifies how thoughtful design can transform urban spaces, creating environments that are both functional and inspiring.
Azabudai Hills Mori JP Tower in Tokyo, Japan has been recognized with two significant awards: Best Tall Building by Height (300+ meters) and Best Tall Building by Region (Asia). Mori JP Tower stands as a testament to cutting-edge design and engineering, pushing the boundaries of what is possible in high-rise construction in Japan, specifically given the restraints of seismic activity.
Salesforce Tower Chicago has been awarded the Best Tall Building by Height (200-299 meters), acknowledging its exceptional design and innovative approach to urban integration. This iconic tower is a landmark of Chicago’s architectural landscape, anchoring the newly revitalized Wolf Point development, and extending Chicago’s famed riverwalk into an urban park setting.
Pelli Clarke & Partners, along with our esteemed clients, will present these award-winning projects to the jury at the CTBUH International Conference in London, held from September 23-27. The awards span more than 20 categories and subcategories, including Best Tall Building, Innovation, Urban Habitat, Repositioning, and Equity, Diversity & Inclusion.
