Project Horizon brings rapid healthcare solutions to vulnerable communities

Brody, Ukraine

Project Horizon is an international initiative dedicated to supporting pediatric healthcare in Ukraine. Located in the western city of Brody, this new pediatric hospital will serve as a beacon of hope for children in the region. This effort is a collaboration among the Sunflower Network, PC&P, CannonDesign and local Ukrainian and Polish teams, demonstrating the power of international cooperation.

Modular and prefabricated

Designed with cutting-edge modular construction, the hospital will be built using prefabricated steel modules, ensuring rapid deployment and flexibility. Components will be fabricated in Poland and transported for assembly on-site in Ukraine. This innovative approach reduces construction time by up to 50% compared to traditional methods while maintaining quality and sustainability. The modular system allows for future expansions, ensuring long-term adaptability. The building will also feature an emergency power supply for uninterrupted operations.

Phased development

Phase 1 will introduce a single-story structure built on the grounds of Brody’s Central City Hospital. The facility will include two pediatric wards — one for general care (7 beds) and another for infectious cases (7 beds) — along with essential medical and support spaces. Phase 2 will provide spaces for department of intensive care, reprocessing, operating and patient unit rooms.

Project Horizon is setting new standards for healthcare resilience in crisis-affected communities, providing much needed pediatric care to Ukrainian children for generations to come.
