PC&P receives second CREDAWARD Gold Award for Yibin Gateway Development
The Yibin High-Speed Rail Station Gateway Development received the Gold Award in the Comprehensive Commercial Project, TOD category at the 12th CREDAWARD. This marks Pelli Clarke & Partners’ second CREDAWARD Gold Award, following the Chengdu Natural History Museum’s recognition in 2024.
Established in 2014, CREDAWARD brings together academic experts and leading urban developers to evaluate projects based on architectural quality, environmental priorities, user experience, and economic value. This year’s edition attracted 935 submissions from 271 organizations across more than 20 countries and regions. Shortlisted teams present their projects live before the jury to compete for Gold and Silver Awards.
Hongxi Yang represented PC&P in the final jury presentation in Shanghai on September 10, 2026, and attended the awards ceremony on September 11.
The awarded development includes MixC Yibin Tiandi, the Yiyun Digital Art Center, and the Yibin Eco Tech Innovation Park. In collaboration with Sichuan Provincial Architectural Design and Research Institute, PC&P won the international design competition in 2022 and subsequently completed the architectural design for the development’s major public components.
Inspired by the region’s bamboo forests and karst landscape, the design creates a new urban destination around Yibin’s high-speed rail station. Cultural venues, commercial spaces, and workplaces connect through a central park, planted terraces, and pedestrian streets. The development draws on Yibin’s natural setting and cultural heritage to establish a welcoming gateway for visitors and a walkable district for the growing community.
