David P. Chen

David P. Chen leads design for landmark towers, higher education campuses, and mixed-use placemaking around the world. Recent projects include gymnasiums at Yale, Grinnell College and University of Chicago; the Shanghai IFC complex in Pudong; and Walsin Town Phase III in Nanjing. In addition to architecture, David is passionate about photography and an expert in technology and its role in design. He oversees all technology innovations at the firm. David holds a Bachelor of Arts and a Master of Architecture from Yale University.
Favorite Building: The Gallery of Horyuji Treasures, by Yoshio Taniguchi in Tokyo, Japan. This building was an early inspiration for me as an architect.
