Sunny Isles, Miami, Florida
784,000 square feet / 72,835 square meters
Situated on the main thoroughfare of Sunny Isle Beach in Miami, Florida, Pelli Clarke Pelli’s project includes is a 60-story ocean front, luxury condominium tower and a row of multi-level cabanas that open directly onto the private beach. The landmark tower will be the tallest on the island, commanding sweeping vista of both the Atlantic Ocean and the Intercoastal Waterway.
The design of the tower is elegant and striking against the expansive ocean. With chamfered ends meandering outward towards the top, the exterior creates a dynamic composition along the narrow oceanfront. Between the raised pool deck and the beach, PCPA designed unique cabanas which cascade down to the beach, reminiscent of a steep Mediterranean shorefront village. The openness of the design invites residents to mingle and socialize; a wooden path along the cabana decks offers leisurely strolls and fosters engagement with neighbors.
260 apartments will occupy the residential building; three and four-bedroom apartments are designed to include “flow-thru” terraces facing both east and west, allowing sunset and sunrise views.
